The client's standard Shopify theme was too slow (Lighthouse score: 45) and couldn't support their custom 3D product viewer. They needed a site that felt like a luxury app, not a template.
We decoupled the frontend using Next.js (Headless Shopify). This allowed us to pre-render pages for instant loading. We optimized the 3D assets using Three.js and served images via a global CDN, boosting the Lighthouse score to 98.
